Last weekend we headed out to Joshua Tree National Park and rode from the Blackrock campground up to Blackrock Canyon.
The trails are well marked with marker signs letting you know which way to go. There are beginner trails (wide, open paths), to advanced trails (technical trail – steep up or down, narrow etc)
Give it a try and we highly recommend it. We will be taking the RV here at some point to camp overnight. However – they have no stalls in the campground. You must bring stalls, high tie, or electric fence for your horses.
Water is limited in the campground to one faucet. Bathrooms are a hick from the horse campground / staging area to the real water flushing toilets.
